See You at the Pole
Posted Sep 17 2008
See You at the Pole is an annual national event in the month of September, for Christian students of all ages to gather at the flagpole on their school campus and pray for such things as their school, friends, communities and nation. More than 3 million students from all 50 states participate in See You at the Pole.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2008, the entire Roseland Christian School body descended upon the soccer field to seek God in prayer.

We began with a scripture reading of II Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

The school’s flag gently blew in the wind as four students prayed for such things as family and friends, the nation, the on-going problem of violence in Chicago and of course, Roseland Christian School.

We closed with a powerful prayer by Rev. Jason Reynolds, of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago. Although we only gathered for 15 minutes, it was an uplifting occasion felt by all.
